Brandish the hardblade, tempered in the blood of fallen foes
I will ride again
To the fountain
To the blackened stones
Because I remember, an oath made when we both were young
The moment I land is the moment he sends the storm
Cleaving through the night, like thunder, hooves will split the ground
I will ride again
To the fountain
To the blackened stones
Because I remember an oath made when we both were young
The moment I land is the moment he sends the storm my way
Red demonic eyes
The wild ripping claw
In the glare of my steel I see the face of a god
In the glare of my steel
Brandish the ravening blade, sharpened on the bones of fallen foes
I have rode again
On their ashes
On their broken forms
Because I remember an oath made when we both were young
The moment I land is the moment they send the storm my way
Red demonic eyes
The wild ripping claw
In the glare of my steel I see the face of a god

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
